Thinking about selling your home? Here are 5 tips you NEED to know before starting the selling process:

1. Disconnect Mentally & Emotionally.

The process of selling your home should be viewed as a business transaction, not an emotional one. Disconnecting emotionally will give you the ability to negotiate with a level head. It will pave a smooth road for you and all parties involved.

2. Choosing Your Real Estate Agent.

It is never too early to find a trusted real estate agent to work with. Find an experienced agent that you are comfortable with to provide you with advice and expertise through the earliest steps of process straight through to the last. By working with Randi and Tracy you are at a HUGE advantage, as they are able to provide you with sound advise and all of the best tips to help you maximize the proceeds of your sale.

3. Decluttering.

It is very important to declutter and organize each section of your home. This will enable the buyer to visualize themselves there with all of their belongings and making it a home of their own.

4. Lighten Up.

A light and bright house will definitely attract the most buyers. Make sure all interior and exterior light bulbs are all functioning and make sure all windows are clean. If there are any rooms with a dark colored paint, you may want to consider repainting them to a lighter, brighter shade.

5. Curb Appeal.

Without great curb appeal, potential buyers may pass by your property and move on to the next. Make sure your lawn is trimmed, there are no cobwebs around the entryway, and make sure everything looks neat and clean. This will create the warm and inviting atmosphere that buyers seek in a new home.
